چکیده

The resonant absorption of recoilless g-rays, known as Mössbauer Spectroscopy, is an efficient nuclear prospecting technique to structural and magnetic analysis. When studying steels, it possible accurately analyze the surface materials using Conversion Electron Spectroscopy (CEMS) that evaluates sample’s a depth 200 nm, by X-ray (CXMS), which can go deeper investigate inner layers steel samples (10 mm). In this work, was employed study crystallographic reversion (f.c.c.àh.c.p.) stainless shape memory. A hexagonal martensitic phase induced mechanically through compression test austenite observed heat treatment. spectroscopy measurements were carried out conversion electrons, with 57Co source in rhodium matrix at room temperature without external fields. Spectra analyzed specific adjustment software. results indicated great reversal e-martensite. Rietveld refinement analysis obtained XRD data evaluate changes occurring during thermo-mechanical treatment (cycles deformation followed heating). Comparison spectra are important for understanding phase. case, crystal structure resulted recovery material, deformed beyond its elastic limit.

Dissimilar laser welding of NiTi shape memory alloy to austenitic stainless steel archwires

In this research, dissimilar welding of NiTi shape memory alloy to AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel Archwires was investigated. For this purpose, common straight orthodontic archwire with rectangular cross-section and dimensions of (0.635 × 0.432 mm) were selected and the laser welding technique was used to connect the wires. The microstructure, chemical composition and phasesin the weld zon...

Anisotropy in Elastic Properties of Porous 316L Stainless Steel Due to the Shape and Regular Cell Distribution

In this study, two-dimensional finite element modeling was used to study the simultaneous effect of the cell shape and regular cell distribution on the anisotropy of the elastic properties of 316L stainless steel foam. In this way, the uniaxial compressive stress-strain curve was predicted using a geometric model and fully solid 316L stainless steel. The results showed that the elastic tangent ...

Global Rietveld Refinement

Global optimisation methods of structure determination from powder diffraction data have risen to prominence in a relatively short space of time and they now constitute a key approach in the examination of polycrystalline molecular organic materials. A correctly formulated global optimisation approach may be regarded as a "global Rietveld refinement" that is capable of delivering accurate cryst...

Rietveld refinement of Y2GeO5

Y(2)GeO(5) (yttrium germanium penta-oxide) was synthesized by solid-state reaction at 1443 K. The arrangement, which has monoclinic symmetry, is isostructural with Dy(2)GeO(5) and presents two independent sites for the Y atoms. Around these atoms there are distorted six-coordinated YO(6) octa-hedra and seven-coordinated YO(7) penta-gonal bipyramids. The YO(7) polyhedra are linked together, shar...
